I have been designing and building furniture for over 15 years. My background is in sculpture with a BFA from SUNY Buffalo and an MFA from University of Illinois. Before branching out to build my own custom designs, I developed my skills as a professional woodworker working for a cabinet shop, a seating company and a small custom furniture business.

I use primarily domestic hardwoods like cherry, maple and walnut to create unique, custom designed, heirloom quality pieces that are designed to last for generations. My design aesthetic is inspired by traditional Japanese and Chinese furniture and architecture. In all of my pieces, I favor clean lines, rythmic repetition, and hand-rubbed natural oil finishes to emphasize the inherent beauty of wood. My design process normally begins with individual meetings with the client in order to merge my design sensibility with their needs and desires. The results are unique pieces designed for long-lasting beauty and durability.
